Sky Smeed will perform on Father's Day to an audience of drive-in cars at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Sky Smeed and Ric Averill will take the stage Sunday for two drive-in concerts at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Smeed, a Lawrence-based Americana musician, will perform at 7:30 p.m. and Averill will perform a family friendly set of stories, songs and singalongs at 10 a.m. Smeed’s show costs $20 per car, and Averill’s is free.
Smeed and Averill are performing as part of the Lawrence Arts Center’s 940 Live series.
Marlo Angell, director of digital media for the arts center, said Smeed’s show had only about 10 tickets left as of Tuesday afternoon and that tickets must be purchased in advance. Cars for Averill’s show will be let in first come, first served, and the gates will open 45 minutes in advance of the start time.
