Winter weather to delay Saturday morning delivery of Journal-World
Journal-World subscribers should expect at least a one-hour delay in the delivery of their print newspapers on Saturday.
Delivery has been delayed by a minor accident that left the delivery truck of the Journal-World’s printing partner in a ditch between Lawrence and the printing plant in St. Joseph, Mo.. Journal-World crews were on the scene early Saturday morning transferring papers from the stuck delivery truck to a Journal-World vehicle.
A winter storm that began Friday evening left slick roads throughout the area.
“I appreciate everyone’s patience as our delivery crews work through this challenging situation,” said Chad Lawhorn, Journal-World editor and publisher. “It is important that we get everyone their newspaper, but we must take the time to ensure that it is done in a safe manner in these weather conditions.”
Subscribers can access an e-edition replica copy of the newspaper at ljworld.com. Access to the replica edition can be found by clicking the “Today’s Paper” link at the top of the page.
