Paving work to cause disruption at Lawrence exit on I-70
Drivers traveling to and from Lawrence via the Kansas Turnpike may need to adjust their plans Tuesday night.
The interchange at mile marker 202 on Interstate 70 will be inaccessible to drivers Tuesday night, the Kansas Turnpike Authority announced in a press release distributed Tuesday morning.
Pavement resurfacing work at the interchange, which leads to Iowa Street and U.S. Highway 59 in Lawrence, will force drivers to instead use the North Lawrence interchange at mile marker 204.
The work is expected to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday and continue until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Similar paving work was scheduled for the North Lawrence interchange Monday night, the release said.
