Accident to delay delivery of Thursday edition of Journal-World

An accident that has snarled traffic on a Kansas City-area interstate is causing delivery delays of Thursday’s edition of the Lawrence Journal-World.

Subscribers and newsstand vendors will receive their copies of the Thursday Journal-World later than its normal 6 a.m. arrival time. Crews currently are estimating some delivery times may be closer to 9 a.m..

An accident has caused a portion of Interstate 29 in the Kansas City area to be closed to traffic. The Journal-World delivery truck with Thursday’s editions is caught in the line of traffic that is being forced to wait for the road to reopen.

The Journal-World apologizes for the delay. Subscribers are reminded that their subscription includes access to the digital replica edition of the newspaper. Access to the electronic edition of the newspaper can be found on ljworld.com in a section near the bottom of the webpage entitled “All Access Digital Replica Edition.” Subscribers do need log in credentials to access the editions. Subscribers with questions about that process can email a representative at subs@ljworld.com. Please include your name, address and phone number in that email so that representatives have the information needed to create log in credentials for your account. The e-edition is posted to the website at approximately 4 a.m..
