Two road projects launched this week involve road closures in Douglas County, according to a news release from the county.
Both projects started on Monday. The first project is a bridge repair on North 1100 Road between East 1600 and East 1700 Road. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
In addition, crews have closed Route 1061, or East 2200 Road, between North 700 and North 900 Road to undertake several improvements, including culvert replacements, intersection reconstruction at North 800 Road and a mill-and-overlay for the two-mile highway stretch. Traffic will be detoured to Route 458, Route 1057 and Route 460. The project is expected to take four months.
