The Douglas County Treasurer’s Office currently is unable to process transactions related to motor vehicles — such as renewing license tags — at all locations, the county announced Monday afternoon.

The loss of service is part of a statewide issue, the county said in a brief press release. County officials did not have an estimate for when motor vehicle transactions would resume.

The motor vehicle system overseen by the Kansas Department of Revenue encountered issues on Monday morning, the county said. Staff at the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates when they can resume processing motor vehicle transactions, according to a press release.
