After privately discussing personnel matters, the Douglas County Commission wrapped up a brief meeting on Wednesday without taking any action.

The only general business item on the commission’s meeting agenda was an executive session. County leaders met privately to discuss matters involving the county’s nonelected personnel for about an hour.

Prior to the executive session, commissioners made two proclamations. One recognized Aug. 4-10 as Farmer’s Market Week; the other announced a 20th anniversary celebration for the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine St., which is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 8.

Additionally, Interim County Administrator Sarah Plinsky said the commission would not meet Aug. 7 because some county staffers would not be available that day. The commission will next meet for a regular meeting on Aug. 14.
