A Kentucky man has been charged in Douglas County District Court with two felonies after allegedly burglarizing a building and stealing multiple dirt bikes.

Kahle Henderson, 25, turned himself in Tuesday afternoon, according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman George Diepenbrock.

Henderson faces one count of nonresidential burglary and one count of theft of property or services of between at least $25,000 and no more than $100,000. The charging document alleges that Henderson on or about Sept. 20, 2024, illegally entered a building at 1886 North 1000 Road and took eight dirt bikes and other items.

The Douglas County Jail booking log shows Henderson’s address in Columbia, Kentucky, but court documents indicate convictions for burglary of a motor vehicle in Johnson County in 2019 and interference with a law enforcement officer in Shawnee County in 2019.

Henderson’s next court date is Aug. 26 for a status conference.
