Teenager ejected in crash near Baldwin City

A 16-year-old girl sustained injuries after being ejected from a vehicle near Baldwin City on Sunday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 7:45 p.m., a Chevrolet S-10 driven by a 17-year-old boy struck a guardrail and crashed into trees in the 400 block of East 1814 Road, causing the ejection. The injured passenger was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver and two other passengers in the vehicle were uninjured.
