The Lawrence Art Center’s student-led curatorial board will host an art-based block party Saturday.

The free event, SNAP OUT!, is described as an “immersive, multi-dimensional community art block party.” The event will feature performances from local artists and musicians, as well as opportunities for selfies in the “Razzle Dazzle photo bus” and food from Archibowls.

The show includes artwork from Allie Fischer, Aaron Storck, Kamila Sims, Matthew Fliehler, Oliver Elwell and Violet Bredamus. Participating musicians are Anna Kober, Jonas Lord, Molly Roecker, Henry Adams and Lily Kosirog.

In an announcement about the event, Arts Center CEO Margaret Morris said the block party will be the first large public gathering at the Arts Center’s new studios at 10th and Massachusetts St. Morris said Hang 12 provides high school students with hands-on opportunities to explore careers in the arts by collaborating to organize exhibits and art-centered community events aimed at bringing visibility to young local artists.

SNAP OUT! will take place Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence Arts Center 10th & Mass Studios, 1000 Massachusetts St.
