The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will be adding additional hours to the recreation centers beginning Monday.
The rec centers reopened last month for drop-in public use, but with limited hours, after a seven-month closure due to the coronavirus. Parks and Recreation will continue to follow the four-color status chart for safe activities from Lawrence Douglas County Public Health and masks will continue to be required for everyone at all times in any parks and recreation facility, according to a city news release.
