Letter to the editor: More basketball
To the editor:
Lawrence Parks and Recreation reneged on its promise to always keep one of the 16 basketball courts at Sports Pavilion Lawrence open for free play.
So why not install some outdoor basketball goals on the far corner of the parking lot from the buildings? Those spaces are unoccupied 99 percent of the time so they wouldn’t even have to pave over more ground. They could just put up four goals and paint some lines. It would be a good service to the many players of all ages who get locked out when the pavilion is fully booked.
