Lawrence woman killed in single-vehicle crash southeast of Clinton Lake
A Lawrence woman died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 6:20 p.m., Diana Laird, 61, was driving in the 900 block of North 1000 Road, southeast of Clinton Lake, said Sgt. Kristen Dymacek. For an unknown reason, Laird’s car left the roadway and came to rest in a nearby creek.
Laird was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where she later died, Dymacek said.
