Time in Lawrence: This is my fifth year living here, but I’ve been coming to Lawrence since I was 8 because my oldest brother and sister were KU cheerleaders, and my brother also played football.

Occupation: Student currently, but I just accepted a job offer in Portland to be an architect and I’ll start after graduation.

Dream job: Doing nonprofit architecture work. I’d like to do K-12 schools in Third World countries, for instance.

What were you doing when scouted? Calling my mom to tell her I accepted the job offer.

Describe your style: I tend to throw stuff on because I’m partially color blind. Also, I love thrift stores and sales.

Fashion trends you love: The 1890s-style beards and clothing. I dig that.

Fashion trends you hate: Frameless glasses and couples matching. I spent some time in South Korea, and they were big into matching couples outfits.

Fashion influences: My dad

What are your favorite and least favorite things about Lawrence? The people here are cool, but it’s not by the mountains or the ocean.

Tattoos or piercings: Five tattoos — two trees, a deer, a crane, wheat and arrows. Both ears pierced.

Whom do people say you look like? Cartoon characters like the kid from “How to Train Your Dragon.”

What’s your spirit animal? Chinchilla because I have a pet one named Kiki and he’s awesome. They’re the softest animals in the world (laughs). I can see why people try to make coats out of them.

Tell us a secret: I listen to audiobooks all the time. The one I’m listening to now is called “Inheritance” by Christopher Paolini.
