Turning restrictions at 23rd and Louisiana lifted

One portion of the construction work at 23rd and Louisiana has been completed a bit early.

City officials at 5 p.m. Friday will lift all the turning restrictions at 23rd and Louisiana streets. Originally, the city anticipated that restrictions on turning movements off 23rd Street onto northbound Louisiana Street would be in place until Saturday morning.

Crews have been replacing a waterline in the area and repairing a fiber optic cable that was struck during the waterline construction. The waterline work is expected to last through July. During the time period, westbound traffic on 23rd Street will be reduced to one lane.
