Letter: Great teachers
To the editor:
After owning businesses all my life, including the Orchards Golf Course in Lawrence, I retired last year. I soon realized that I needed something to fill my time. I’ve always enjoyed kids, including my children and grandchildren, so I decided to try substitute teaching in the Lawrence school district.
I knew that I would enjoy the kids, but I was also impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the teachers. Lawrence is fortunate to have these exceptional people teaching our children.
