Olathe ? Free State High’s boys swimming and diving team took fourth place among 18 teams, while Lawrence High finished seventh at the Olathe Invitational on Friday night.

Senior Jack Ziegler highlighted the Firebirds’ performance by taking second place in the 50 freestyle and fifth in the 100 freestyle. Junior Ethan Kallenberger also finished third in the 100 backstroke.

Freshmen Alex Heckman and Stephen Johnson led the Lions. Heckman took second in the 100 backstroke, and Johnson finished third in the 500 freestyle and fourth in the 200 freestyle.

Both teams are off until the Free State Invitational on Jan. 7.
