Devonté Graham’s ankle should be fine
KANSAS 75, GEORGETOWN 70
Washington, D.C. ? Kansas University freshman point guard Devonté Graham sprained an ankle with 10 minutes left in the Jayhawks’ Wednesday win over Georgetown.
Graham didn’t return to the game.
“He turned his ankle. They re-taped it (in locker room). He’ll be sore, but he’ll be fine,” KU coach Bill Self said, noting it wasn’t serious.
Frank Mason III, who sprained an ankle in KU’s win over Florida on Dec. 5, scored 14 points.
Mason, of Petersburg, Virginia, and Graham of Raleigh, North Carolina, had a batch of supporters in the stands.
“Frank and Devonté needed a lot of tickets,” Self said on the pre-game radio show. “Frank had two buses (of people) that bought tickets in addition to all the people coming up. He’ll have 60, 70, 80 people here who are proud to see him play.”
