2 KCK policemen poised to plead FBI sting case

? Two Kansas City, Kan., police officers apparently will plead guilty to a federal indictment accusing them and another officer of stealing video games, electronics and money while serving search warrants.

Docket notations filed Monday show change-of-plea hearings have been scheduled for Darryl Forrest and Jeffrey Bell. The two men along with officer Dustin Sillings were charged last year following an FBI sting operation.

Forrest is scheduled for his plea hearing on Jan. 17 and Bell on Jan. 18. Sillings is set to go on trial Feb. 6.

Bell and Forrest were charged with conspiracy against rights, deprivation of rights and thefts. Sillings was charged with conspiracy against rights and theft.

The conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.
