Southern Kansas man convicted in wife’s death
MULLINVILLE ? A southern Kansas man has been convicted of intentional second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife.
Mark H. Ralstin was charged with first-degree murder in the November 2009 death of his wife, Bobbie Jo Ralstin. But a Kiowa County jury on Thursday convicted him of the lesser charge after a trial that last six days.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Bobbie Jo Ralstin was shot six times while she sat in her vehicle in the couple’s home near Mullinville.
The Hutchinson News reports that after the shooting, Ralstin drove to his sister’s home in Sylvia, where he was arrested.
During the trial, Ralstins’ daughter Kimberly testified about seeing her father shoot her mother.
