Free State High School administrators called the school’s resource officer Tuesday after a junior male student sold or distributed prescription medication at school, said Lawrence public schools spokeswoman Julie Boyle. Boyle said the student also became “verbally and physical inappropriate” toward school staff and the law enforcement officer, so the school notified his parents and initiated disciplinary action.
