Princeton Review ranks KU among 50 best values for public universities

The Princeton Review has named Kansas University as one of the top 50 best values among public universities in the nation.

The 2010 list, released Tuesday, only ranks the top 10 schools and lists the remaining 40 schools alphabetically. KU did not make the top 10.

The Princeton Review praised KU for its Jayhawk Generations scholarship available to out-of-state students who are children or grandchildren of alumni, its diverse academic offerings and its relatively low tuition compared to other public universities in the Association of American Universities.

Other Big 12 Conference schools that made the list: University of Colorado-Boulder, sixth; Texas A&M University, ninth; University of Oklahoma, 10th; and Oklahoma State University, unranked.

KU was the only university listed from Kansas.
