Washburn University reports fall semester housing is full

? Washburn University says its on-campus housing is full for the upcoming fall semester.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the university in Topeka has notified students that those who haven’t secured a housing spot that they will have to be on a waiting list.

Mindy Rendon, Washburn’s director of residential living, says the university’s housing options have been full since July 15. She says it’s possible some rooms will open up, so students on the waiting list should continue to check on their status.

The Washburn campus has 676 beds in four facilities.

Washburn University president Jerry Farley says he expects enrollment to be higher this year than in the past few years. He’s predicting the school could have between 6,900 and 7,000 students in the fall.
