LMH nurse earns lactation credential

Holly Soetaert, a registered nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, recently earned certification as an international board certified lactation consultant.

The credential recognizes professionals who have acquired specialist skills, made an in-depth study of breastfeeding and lactation, and passed a rigorous certification examination. The designation is for individuals who already have extensive knowledge, skills and practical experience assisting mothers with breastfeeding.

Soetaert, a nurse in LMH’s Preadmission Clinic and the Infant Nutrition Center, has worked at the hospital for more than six years.
