Lawrence High boys hold off Free State in OT

LHS 74/FS 64 — FINAL

Lawrence High outscored Free State, 11-1, in overtime and held on for a road victory at Free State High on Saturday night.

Free State was deflated in the overtime period after surrendering a game-tying three-pointer to Dorian Green with 9.6 seconds left in regulation.

With the victory, Lawrence improved to 4-2. Free State fell to 1-4.

LHS 63/FS 63 — End of regulation

It appeared Free State was going to upset Lawrence High, but Dorian Green wouldn’t let the Lions go out quietly. Green drilled a three-pointer with 9.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 63 and send it into overtime at the FSHS gym.

The Lions and Firebirds are locked up at 58-all with 3:49 left in the game from the Free State High gym.
