KU grad launches Lawrence guidebook

Kansas University graduate Max Minor has released an independently published guidebook to Lawrence. “Inside Lawrence,” which will be carried by Kief’s and The Love Garden, features reviews and addresses of select businesses located throughout the area.

The book is targeted at Lawrence’s continually evolving residents, in an attempt to encourage local shopping and exploration. It’s divided into four categories: food, booze, shops and miscellaneous.

Completely self-financed, published and marketed, the first release from 1011 Alabama Press includes information about many of the establishments that define the unique atmosphere Lawrence provides.

The publisher and author, Max Minor, has worked for The Onion humor newspaper, and is currently employed by the Second City Theater in Chicago. He also has experience writing for The University Daily Kansan and The Windy City Rollers, Chicago’s premiere all-female roller derby league.
