Regarding Mike Wildgen’s ousting:

I called it a “witch hunt” a year ago when there were grumbles at City Hall over city staff not being helpful enough – especially as it seemed to me to be toward contractors or developers.

There were those who pooh-poohed that idea. Now I feel vindicated. Mr. Wildgen is out! It seems he and his staff couldn’t predict the amount of Lawrence’s growth. So it seems that you gotta keep the developers happy, at least under the current City Commission.

‘Nuff said there – for now.
