Art therapist attends conference
Libby Schmanke, a board-certified art therapist, attended the annual conference of the American Art Therapy Association, conducted Nov. 15-19 in New Orleans.
Schmanke’s paper, which addressed the use of art therapy in treating special issues for women, had been chosen by a peer-review panel for presentation during the conference. Schmanke also attended a training program involving trauma resolution and creativity in older adults.
Schmanke is the sole proprietor of Art & Insight, a creative-arts studio and private practice in art therapy at 4824 Quail Crest Place.
