Work from an Ottawa quilter has been selected for the cover of a book, “Bold Quilts Inspired by Grandmother’s Legacy,” by Jennifer Dick, of Harrisonville, Mo.

Brenda Weien, owner of Brenda’s Machine Quilting, is one of several quilters whose work will be featured in a product by Kansas City Star Books.

Quilts from the book will be on display Monday through Oct. 15 at Chris’ Corner Quilt Shop and Brenda’s Machine Quilting, 3593 Highway 59, where the book is available for purchase. A book-signing for Dick and reception for Weien will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the store.
