Volunteers with the Lawrence Community InterFaith Initiative will spread out across Lawrence Nov. 12 for the organization’s first Faith in Action Day.

The grass-roots group will perform volunteer service at agencies and organizations throughout Lawrence. Volunteers are asked to call agencies before arriving to schedule times for their service.

LCII also will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 1000 Ky., to discuss follow-up assistance to the fire at Boardwalk Apartments, food for the hungry and a weatherization and utilities assistance program.
