Johnson County senator diagnosed with cancer

? A state senator from Johnson County has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing treatment in Boston.

“My prognosis is excellent, and I look forward to a full recovery,” he said.

However, Allen missed Senate sessions this week and will be treated at Harvard University’s Cancer Center. She said she will return to her legislative duties soon.
