Haskell to show Lawrencian’s short film

Haskell Indian Nations University’s Stories-N-Motion Film Club will show Thomas Yeahpau’s short film, “My Favorite Runner,” at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Haskell Auditorium.

“We have to start late because I work until 9 p.m.,” said Yeahpau, who’s also president of the film club.

Yeahpau’s script for “My Favorite Runner” was one of four selected for production during a summer workshop at the American Indian Art Institute in Santa Fe, N.M. Afterward, Yeahpau was awarded a $50,000 writing fellowship from Disney Studios.

Yeahpau, 30, and his family will move to Los Angeles in January.
