Celebrated linebacker now at KU

Kansas University has an additional football linebacker in camp this preseason.

Brandon Duncan, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound freshman from Lakeview Centennial High in Garland, Texas, is on campus working out with the team.

Duncan received offers from several Big 12 Conference schools, including Texas and Texas A&M. It is unknown whether he is a scholarship player or walk-on.

“Last we heard is that Texas was expecting him there,” Don Willis, the new head coach at Garland Lakeview Centennial, told Jon Kirby of rivals.com. “Then my principal told me last week that he was going to the University of Kansas.”

Duncan was rated the 21st-best linebacker in the country and earned a four-star ranking. He was committed to Texas, but is believed never to have signed a letter of intent.
