Boy Scout Troop 62, chartered to the Linwood Lions Club, helped clean June 12 around Kansas Highway 32 and Linwood Elementary School. Younger Scouts cleaned around the school while older Scouts picked up along a two-mile stretch of the highway. The troop met June 14 to plan summer camp at Theodore Naish Reservation. They attended camp June 20-26.

Several Scouts from Pelathe District will be serving on staff at the Theodore Naish Reservation this summer.

Mason McCurdy will serve as an aquatics instructor and lifeguard. He is the assistant senior patrol leader in Boy Scout Troop 52 and achieved the rank of Eagle earlier this month.

Clarissa Wagner, of Venturing Crew 2052, will be working at the Nature Lodge. She serves on the Council VOC as vice president.

Kathy Lewis, of Venturing Crew 2052, will be working in the shooting sports area. She serves as vice president of administration for the crew.

Kevin Abel, of Troop 64, will be an aquatics instructor and lifeguard. He is an Eagle Scout.
