Hughes services
Services for Erin Elizabeth Hughes, 23, Overland Park, and her unborn son, Clayton Parker Hughes, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hughes and her son died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis of injuries sustained in a car accident near St. Louis.
She was born April 11, 1980, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of Thomas Michael and Jennifer Lee (Roll) Hines.
Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker. While in the St. Louis area, she attended St. Louis Family Church in Chesterfield, Mo.
She married John C. Hughes on Jan. 15, 2004. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include her father and stepmother, Thomas M. and Jeanne Hines, Overland Park; her mother, Jennifer Noble, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three brothers, Justin Hines, St. Louis, and Nathaniel Baker and Dylan Baker, both of Overland Park; and two sisters, Emily Hines, St. Louis, and Bianca Baker, Overland Park.
Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Erin and Clayton Parker Hughes Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
