Albert Jay ‘Gus’ Rundell
ULYSSES ? Services for Albert Jay “Gus” Rundell, 53, of Ulysses, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses. Burial will be at Ulysses Cemetery with military graveside rites by Charles B. Hart American Legion Post No. 79.
Mr. Rundell died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in Stanton County.
He was born April 13, 1950, in Stafford, the son of Jay Wayne and Naoma (Hayden) Rundell.
He graduated from Ulysses High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1998, he became a master electrician. He worked in oil fields and in agriculture.
He married Tamara Alexander on Aug. 10, 1990, in Ulysses. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Ulysses; one son, Daniel; seven daughters, Amanda, Lacy, Katie, Heather, Rachel, Sarah and Cindy, all of the home; two brothers, Lyle, Ulysses, and Hugh, Lawrence; four sisters, Carolyn Dunn, Robin Collum and Tamra Rundell, all of Ulysses, and Bobbie Bynum, of Eufala, Ala.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses.
The family suggests memorials to the Albert Jay “Gus” Rundell memorial fund, sent in care of the funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses 67880.
