Marguerite G. Whitley

Elkland, Pa. ? Services for Marguerite G. Whitley, 85, Elkland, will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Elkland.

Mrs. Whitley died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.

She was born May 20, 1918, in Richwood, W.Va., the daughter of Luigi V. and Nettie Montabone Caffo.

Mrs. Whitley was a homemaker most of her life. She had worked for a brokerage firm in Lawrence, Kan., and for a government agency in New York.

Survivors include four daughters, Susan W. Peters, Nova Scotia, Canada, Penelope A. Whitley, Lawrence, Margaret J. Whitley, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Wendy W. Hall, Corning, N.Y.; a son, Richard M. Whitley, West Hills, Calif.; a sister, Linda Ahearn, Alaska; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Robert A. Whitley, died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to the Sullivan County Area Agency on Aging, 220 Main St., Unit 2, Towanda, PA 18848.
