Texas makes changes to roster

? The Texas Rangers recalled outfielder Ryan Christenson and right-handers Reynaldo Garcia and Ryan Drese from Triple-A Oklahoma on Monday.

The Rangers also said they would recall right-hander Rosman Garcia and catcher Gerald Laird today.

Monday was the first day teams could expand their rosters from 25 to 40 players.

Christenson, who hit .183 with two homers and 14 RBIs for the Rangers earlier in the season, batted .313 with five home runs and 24 RBIs in 52 games with Oklahoma.

Garcia was 4-3 with nine saves and a 3.69 ERA for the Redhawks, and was 0-0 with a 10.45 ERA in eight relief appearances for the Rangers.

Drese, 8-6 with a 4.65 ERA for Oklahoma, was 2-2 with a 9.53 ERA in six games — five starts — for Texas.
