Claude ‘Buck’ Radcliff Jr.
Lapeer ? Services for Claude “Buck” Radcliff Jr., 80, Denver, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lapeer. Burial will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery in rural Douglas County.
Mr. Radcliff died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Evergreen Terrace Nursing Center in Lakewood, Colo.
He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Topeka, the son of Claude and Carrie (Simon) Radcliff. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1941. He had lived in O’Fallon, Mo., Topeka and Overbrook.
Mr. Radcliff served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired in 1985. He was also a farmer in the Overbrook area for 16 years.
He married Margaret Brennan in March 1945 in Columbia, S.C. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Dan, Denver; a sister, Merle Yewell, Topeka; and a grandson.
The family suggests memorials to the Claude Radcliff Memorial, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
