Alternate sirens

To the editor:

In response to the article in Saturday’s Journal-World about tornado sirens, I have an idea. If there is a tornado emergency imminent, why not have all police, fire and medical vehicles sound their sirens at once? They are connected by radio and have the equipment. There would be no ambiguity about an aural event such as this. It seems that we have the potential to really announce a pending disaster. Why not use it to save lives when the rare but opportune moment arrives?
