Nuerburgring, Germany ? Kimi Raikkonen gained the first pole position of his career during qualifying Saturday for the European Grand Prix.

Brothers Michael and Ralf Schumacher hold the next two spots in the lineup for today’s Formula One race.

Raikkonen, in a McLaren-Mercedes, was timed in 1 minute, 31.523 seconds. Michael Schumacher finished in 1:31.555 in his Ferrari.

Ralf, who held the pole in the last two races, followed at 1:31.619 in a Williams-BMW.

Michael Schumacher has won four of the last five Formula One races.
