Topeka ? Free State High won seven of 12 events and won the Topeka Invitational on Thursday at Washburn.

The Firebirds led the five-team field with 532 points. Lawrence was fifth with 252.

Free State’s Anthony Portela won the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:11.31 and the 100-meter freestyle in 57.68.

Chris Sellon, Chris Wolff and Alex Brunfeldt also won individual events for the Firebirds. Sellon won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:52.46. Wolff won the 100 butterfly in 1:06.9. Brunfeldt won the 200 individual medley.

Portela, Sellon, Wolff and Brunfeldt also combined to win two relays.
