Betty Jean Goins

Mrs. Goins died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Providence Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Lawrence, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Diegleman) Church.

Mrs. Goins was a homemaker and a member of Indian Hills Church of God.

She married William I. Goins on Feb. 15, 1949, in Lawrence. He died April 23, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Robert Goins, Lawrence; a daughter, Diana Kitsmiller, Lawrence; two sisters, June Regnier, Lawrence, and Vera West, Marshallton, Iowa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will greet them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Wesleyan Church or Indian Hills Church of God, sent in care of the funeral home.
