But of the hundreds of free CDs he’s given out, one just landed his ensemble in CMJ’s New Music Monthly magazine.

The woman responsible for their magazine appearance originally got a handout from Billen a year ago while she was running a small online music zine. Now she works for CMJ.

The two-page article was written by the four Billions as a somewhat tongue-in-cheek tour of Lawrence.

The November issue currently is on stands.
