She was born Aug. 11, 1909, in Labache, the daughter of James A. and Margaret (Farr) Fesperman. She lived all her life in Hartshorne.

Mrs. Spears was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 54 for 50 years and of the Methodist church.

She married Norris Spears on Oct. 5, 1925. He died Aug. 13, 1981.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Mordecai and June Dollins, both of Hartshorne, and Linda Fox, Lawrence, Kan.; two sons, Billy Earl Spears, Lawrence, Kan., and Dale Spears, Hartshorne; a sister, Margaret Powell, San Diego; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Ronnie Lee Spears, died April 25, 1998. An infant son, Otis Dan Spears, and a granddaughter also died earlier.
