Elmer E. Moore Jr.

He was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Richland, the son of Elmer Kellum and Minnie Mae (Ohse) Moore. He attended Lickskillet Grade School northeast of Overbrook.

Mr. Moore was a farmer-stockman. He had worked in road maintenance for Monmouth Township for 10 years and for the Kansas State Highway Department for 15 years before retiring in 1980.

He married Nettie “Pearl” Remington on Jan. 29, 1942, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Claudia Jean Trout, Baldwin, and Patricia Ann Gustin, Topeka; a son, Elwyn Lee Moore, Pomona; a sister, Dorothy Ammon, Prairie Village; eight grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

A grandson and two great-grandchildren died earlier.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Overbrook, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
