He was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Topeka, the son of Hubert Duane and Margaret Lucille (Berridge) Walters. He was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh and the Topeka area.

He was a heavy equipment operator for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka for 22 years.

Mr. Walters was a member of the United Methodist Church, Tecumseh, and the Kansas Wildlife Assn.

He married Vickie Lynn Logan on July 18, 1975, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Jamie Christine Walters, Topeka, and Michelle Renee Walters, Tecumseh; his parents, Hubert D. and Margaret L. Walters, Tecumseh; a brother, Steven W., Topeka; two sisters, Theresa “Terri” Blasingame, Pilot Point, Tex., and Vicki L. Walters, Topeka; and a granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Barnett’s Meriden Funeral Chapel.
