The Audio-Reader Network, based at the University of Kansas, will host its next Audio Sale starting Friday at the Lawrence Public Library.

The university announced in a Wednesday press release the sale will include more than 100 pieces of vintage and modern audio equipment along with hundreds of vinyl records and dozens of cassette tapes. The items are “priced to sell,” with the release saying it is a “must-stop for collectors and casual music fans.”

Along with those items on sale by the Audio-Reader Network, the KU service is partnering with the Lawrence Public Library Friends & Foundation, which will offer CDs and DVDs for sale.

Proceeds from the Audio Sale support Audio-Reader’s mission to provide access to print information for people who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print-disabled.

The first day of the sale at the library, 707 Vermont St., will be an exclusive ticketed event that runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb 13. Tickets will cost $10, and are available at the Audio-Reader sale webpage. The event will continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, and admission that day will be free.
