Gene and Judy Bauer, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Caroline Houston Bauer, New York, New York, to Gregory Allen Mihalko Jr. son of Gregory Allen Sr. and Mary Ann Mihalko, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Bauer graduated from Free State High School in 2005 and attended Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated Cum Laude in Anthropology. She received a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University’s School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 2012. She manages the Service Design Studio for the New York City Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity.

Mr. Mihalko attended Avonworth High School and in 2010 earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is founder and Creative Director of Partner & Partners, an interdisciplinary design firm in New York, New York. A June wedding is planned.
