Vern & Ruth Ellen Bartels

Vern and Ruth Ellen Bartels were married August 31, 1969 in Great Bend, KS at the First Presbyterian Church. Vern worked as a mechanical engineer at Hallmark Cards in Lawrence, retiring after 31 years. Ruth Ellen was the office manager for First Med for ten years. They have two sons, Jeff (Tanya) of Overland Park and Doug (Jenny) of Chandler, AZ. Their grandchildren are Colin, Derek, Ryan and Rachel. Their children will host an open house on Saturday, August 31 from 14 pm at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2104 Bob Billings Parkway, Lawrence. The couple request no gifts.
